Meet Dr. Jeffrey Yu

Dr. Jeffrey Yu graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA. He obtained his doctorate in medicine from Albany School of Medicine and completed his OBGYN residency training at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, where he received the Resident Achievement Award in Laparoscopy by the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and was honored for being an Outstanding Role Model of Leadership and Professionalism.

Dr. Yu has a very strong background in minimally invasive surgery. He has also conducted extensive research in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology, most recently using first trimester ultrasound as a predictor of fetal macrosomia and impaired glucose tolerance. His clinical areas of interest include abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, fibroids, cysts, abnormal paps, family planning, prenatal care and delivery.

Dr. Yu believes in the importance of vaginal delivery, viewing cesarean sections only as a last resort. He is committed to empowering women to manage their own labor and general health by giving them the tools needed to make informed choices.

Dr. Yu taught at UCLA and has volunteered in underprivileged areas in the United States, Bangladesh, and Mexico.
